Alon Livné has worked in premiere luxury European houses to become Israel’s most prestigious young fashion designer, with a strong bridal business and two free-standing stores in the fashion epicenter of Tel Aviv. After having apprenticed at Alexander McQueen in London, Livné was appointed at the age of twenty-two to the Eveningwear and Couture department of luxury Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli, where, in addition to working on main and pre-collections for the brand, he focused on intricate gowns for bespoke celebrity orders as well as custom commissions for international royals.
After leaving Roberto Cavalli to start his eponymous label, Livné was selected to compete and won first prize in the Israeli version of “Project Runway,” where his stunning designs were televised countrywide and celebrated by the media at large. This coveted achievement resulted in national high demand for Livné’s elaborate, sculptural, hand-made work, and the designer opened his first free-standing store less than a week after winning the competition. Most recently, Livné has designed custom gowns for Beyoncé Knowles’ personal wardrobe; for Beyoncé and fellow dancers on The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour, and for Janelle Monáe and Lady Gaga.
