FELIPE OLIVEIRA BAPTISTA Designer Felipe Oliveira Baptista was born in Portugal in 1975. He studied fashion design at Kingston University, graduating in 1997. From 1997 to 2001, he designed for Maxmara, Christophe Lemaire, and Cerruti. In 2002, he won the Grand Prix at the Festival d’Hyères. The following year, in 2003, he won the ANDAM / LVMH Fashion Award and launched Felipe Oliveira Baptista. In 2005, he again won the ANDAM LVMH Fashion Award and presented his first show during Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week. In 2006, he designed a capsule collection for UNIQLO and in 2007, he presented an exhibition in MUDAM, Musée d’art moderne du Luxembourg. In 2008, he commissioned a book and project, Nike « AW77 », and presented an installation at Festival d’Hyères. He also launched his accessories line that same year. In 2009, he presented his first runway show for his ready-to-wear collection at Paris Fashion Week. The following year, in 2010, he launched a Capsule collection: FOB by Felipe Oliveira Baptista for Spring/Summer 2011. That same year, he was appointed creative director of Lacoste.
