Nicole Di Rocco Owner/Designer, NICOLITA NICOLITA designer, Nicole Di Rocco established the swimwear brand in 2003. For the last nine seasons, Di Rocco's creative direction has built her brand by designing conservative-sexy swimwear with curve-flattering styles. Di Rocco’s inspiration is drawn from a mixture of her cultural Cuban roots and her experience living in Malibu, California. She creates bikini collections that are reminiscent of Cuba's alluring 1940's era, with a California beach twist. Through this successful blending of vintage glamour and modern day silhouettes, the brand has set itself apart in the swimwear industry. Inspired by the film noir detective movies from the 1950's, "The Search for the Perfect Booty" is the theme for the Nicolita 2014 Collection. Nicolita believes that behind every woman is a Perfect Booty. "It's all about matching your curves to the right style. Not about squeezing into a style or the latest trends. Designed for the sexy curvaceous Latina figure, Nicolita’s signature Cuban-style bottoms flatters every body type. The Cuban-style bottoms compliment a women’s shape by providing more coverage on the hips, a heart-shaped backside and ‘no-pinch fit’ elastic. This unique swimwear design attracts a broad range of fans and celebrities worldwide. In 2009, Di Rocco’s accomplishments and drive led her to traveling to her parents’ homeland of Cuba, for an incredible on-location photo shoot. In addition to the photo shoot, Sí TV, America’s first cable network to provide entertainment for bicultural Latinos in English, filmed this journey of reuniting her parents with their homeland and family after 49 years. Di Rocco co-executive produced the documentary PastPort Cuba - The Search for Nicolita with Si TV, which premiered in November 2010 as SiTV's first original documentary. The overwhelming response to PastPort: Cuba The Search for Nicolita sparked the development of an entire PastPort series for Si TV in 2011. Di Rocco earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and entrepreneurship at USC's prestigious Marshall School of Business.
